Do you want to work for an award winning charity? Could you support people with learning disabilities, helping them live life on their own terms?

You won't need experience, we provide full free training.

You'll be a Support Worker working with six men (aged between 45 and 69) who have learning disabilities.

The men we support enjoy various hobbies and activities. To give you an idea of the service, one person we support works at the local charity shop in the village, others attend social groups during the week and go to local restaurants for drinks and meals. Some are also supported to take part in community based activities such as attending church on a Sunday and attending local day activity centres. We hope you will also share in these interests!

You will need to provide support with personal care. Some people may display challenging behaviour but you will receive support from the Frontline Manager and full training in how to help people manage their behaviours.

This is a full-time position,38 hours a week.

You'll take your turn working shifts on a rota including days, evenings, weekends (roughly 2 in a month) and bank holidays. Early shift is 7.30 am - 3 pm, Late shift is 2.30 pm - 10 pm.

We received positive feedback from health and social care professionals. Comments included "The cherries is a lovely home, the staff are very friendly and I always feel welcome," "Everyone was very welcoming" and "Always nice to visit here." - CQC Report November 2017
