Job Description

Support Worker

Position: Support Worker

Location: Duns

Closing Date: 02/03/2020

£18,025 - £19,055 per annum

Our Care & Outreach Service in Duns is expanding, and we are looking for staff to help us support people with learning disabilities to live meaningful lives and achieve their outcomes.

Care experience is desirable but not essential if you have the right VALUES and attitude.

Eildon's VALUES underpin everything we do

CARING "Staff ensure I get my medication"

COMMITTED "Staff work as a team to support us to live independently"

CONNECTED "Staff help me to support a charity in the local community"

CREATIVE "Staff encouraged me to make a recruitment video"

This is a challenging yet very rewarding job. We are a Living Wage employer and offer competitive rates of pay, a contributory pension, a Health Cash Plan as well as paying SSSC registration costs.

We offer a robust personalised induction process, ensuring you have the skills and knowledge you need to support people to a high standard - this includes shadowing, 1:1 coaching and regular catch up meetings. Offering a range of learning opportunities, we embrace digital solutions to staff training and care management. We continue this focus on professional development by supporting all staff through the SVQ Level 3 (SCQF 7) in Social Services and Healthcare.

Our shifts are centred around the needs of our service users, which means you can work from 16 to 37.5 hours per week through a variety of shifts. These include early mornings, evenings, weekends, waking nights and sleep overs.
