About Our Client

Our Client provides Care and Education for Children and Young People with Complex Learning disabilities, sensory impairment, communication difficulties and ASD. This is an extremely rewarding role and you would really be making a difference to the lives of the children, young people and their families. The Service provides High Quality Care in a state of the art environment based in Manchester.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Providing High Quality Care for Children and Young People
  • NVQ 3 in Children and Young People Required
  • Follow client Care Plan's to help clients achieve their personal goals.
  • Assist Service user's with Daily living skills which can include but not limited to:- Personal Care, Cooking, Cleaning and Supporting with Activities
  • Building Relationships with Clients and their families
  • Working as Part of a supportive team to help young people enjoy activities within their local communities and on site.
  • Supporting clients with communication gaining an understanding of the person and their needs.
  • Delivering person centred care and supporting children through Challenging times.
  • Follow direction from Seashell staff members to provide highest standards of care

Preferred Skills:

  • NVQ 3 in Children and Young People
  • 6 Months previous Care/Support Work experience
  • Have previous experience working with Learning Disabilities, Communication Difficulties and Autism Spectrum Disorder or in a Mental Health Setting
  • Previous experience of Challenging Behaviour
  • Willing to provide all aspects of care and support depending on clients needs
  • Driver preferred

  • Able to work with Challenging behaviour and demonstrate good de-escalation techniques
  • Be able to provide person centred care
