Support Worker at Inspire PTL

Support Worker

Inspire PTL Huntly, Aberdeenshire Full Time
Join our team in Huntly, where we have a variety of full time, part time and relief opportunities available.

Are you looking for a job where you can head to work each day knowing that you will make a positive difference to someone else’s life?

Working with Inspire, you will become a vital part of our team supporting local people with learning disabilities in Huntly.

Our work can be challenging but extremely rewarding and we are looking for people who share our values and can promote and encourage independence, while developing real life skills with the people we support to empower them to achieve their desired individual outcomes every day.

If you have a caring nature, and are respectful, compassionate, nurturing and inclusive, then we would love you to join our team and help us continue supporting people to live fulfilled and happy lives.

A Support Worker’s job can be very varied but here is an idea of what you could be getting up to on a regular basis whilst working with Inspire:

Identifying new opportunities for integration, participation and inclusion for the people we support, both within our services and the wider community;

Accompanying people on outings such as to the shops or to attend social events;

Participating in household tasks, including cleaning, cooking, ironing, washing etc. while encouraging the people we support to join in;

Maintaining people’s dignity through the provision of quality personal care, depending on individual needs;

Working as part of a rota, which includes evenings, weekends and sleepovers.

We believe in investing in those who deliver our services, which is why we pay all contracted staff above the Scottish Living Wage, put all new employees through a comprehensive induction and training programme before their first shift and support staff through a funded SVQ 3 in Health & Social Care (SCQF level 7).
