About the role:
Our System Build Engineering Team are responsible for developing our route to live systems and ensuring the operability of the services we offer. You'll get the opportunity help embed and foster a culture of DevOps across the business and teams you interact with including Architecture, Product Development, Platform and many others!
We are looking for someone with strong SQL and problem-solving skills to join the team. Initially you'll be working on SQL Server installs, configuration, clusters, replicas, backups and restores and many more responsibilities!
The role offers the opportunity to establish yourself in a strong DevOps culture as well as the opportunity to pick up new skills like creating PowerShell modules and scripts, deploying software releases via Octopus as well as cloud-based tech like Microsoft Azure.
- Providing Product Development team support on deployments in a live environment. - Using SQL Server to install, configure and back-ups and more! - Advising Product Development on DevOps best practice. - Working with all TransUnion products, unique teams and individual work streams!
- Using SQL Server 2008 2016 in an Enterprise environment. - Understanding of PowerShell and Automation. - Knowledge of Microsoft Azure. - Owning tasks and problems through the full project lifecycle. - Drive to learn, researching potential fixes for issues.
