£10.65 - £10.80/Hour
Our Client, a leading distributor and wholesaler of pharmaceutical, medical and healthcare products, are urgently recruiting for a Team Leader for their morning shift.
The hours of work are Monday to Friday 9.30am to 3pm or 5pm (there may be some degree of flexibility).
As part of the management team you will lead a small team of warehouse colleagues within the warehouse outbound operation. Working to tight timescales you will run a dispatch shift to meet departure times for a fast moving pharma business. This role demands excellent people mamanement skills, ability to prioritise, forward plan and drive continuous improvement, all while leading and engaging colleagues.
Key Accountabilities
* Ensure that agreed productivity rates are achieved and labour costs fall within agreed targets.
* Monitor staff performance in areas of productivity and accuracy in relation to agreed targets.
* To assist the management team by completing investigations or taking minutes when required.
* Ensure damages / missing orders and stock are kept below the agreed levels (aiming for no damaged stock)
* Responsible for the planning and organisation of staff rotas including holiday management.
* Completion of return to work forms and basic absence management.
* Maintain high levels of Health and Safety standards.
* Completions of all staff 121s as part of the management cycle.
You will have excellent communication skills, both written and verbal. An ability to plan and organise your work with a methodical approach is a must. A calm demeanour and ability to work under pressure to meet tight deadlines.
Essential Criteria
* MS Office experience (Excel, Word, Power Point)
* Minimum of 1 years people management experience.
* Experience in FMCG or distribution business.
Desirable Criteria
* 3 years or more in people management
* Experience in pharmaceutical wholesaling.
* Previous experience of HR processes (Disciplinary / absence)
* Qualifications in Health and Safety or Continuous Improvement methodologies.
* Experience running a warehouse operation of 10 or more people.
