Department Manager | Theatre | Band 8a equivalent depending on experience | Wirral

Spire Murrayfield Wirral Hospital has an exciting opportunity for an experienced Theatre Manager to join our experienced and dynamic team.

Our immaculate hospital, Spire Murrayfield, has a full multi-disciplinary medical team onsite. We practice some of the most advanced treatments on the latest generation imaging and diagnostic technology. This means we can offer everything from screening and rehabilitation through to leading-edge surgical procedures in specialist fields like neurology, orthopaedic and cosmetic surgery - all delivered through our expert and caring clinical teams

Duties and responsibilities

  • The Theatre Manager will provide appropriate clinical and managerial leadership throughout the department. 
  • Maximising theatre utilisation, Consultant compliance and maintaining clinical standards, the post-holder will provide strong leadership and direction to all staff across the service and act as a point of contact for advice and expertise relating to professional issues.
  • The Theatre Manager will provide quality planned care for patients during their peri-operative and immediate recovery phase of care by ensuring all departmental staff members deliver high quality patient care, ensuring this is achieved within the available resources and agreed departmental budget.


Job Requirements

Who we're looking for

  • Registered Clinical Practitioner (with NMC or HPC registration)
  • Evidence of substantial CPD in management and other clinically related and relevant subjects
  • Previous experience as a Theatre Manager
  • Ability to manage, motivate, support, develop and lead the department
