Job description for Transport Planner

This Transport Planner role involves planning Groupage deliveries Door to Door nationwide for our own fleet of vehicles, ranging from Artic, 18ton and 7.5ton vehicles.

You will be responding to telephone calls in a timely manner providing a friendly and supportive service to our customers, providing administrative support to the Transport Manager, inputting and maintaining data on our fleet management system, handling driver queries, and carrying out general office administration duties and answering ad hoc queries.

Requirements for the Transport Planner

  • Previous transport and logistics experience is essential
  • Excellent organisational skills
  • Ability to pay attention to detail
  • Excellent interpersonal, customer care and communication skills
  • Be highly driven by quality
  • IT knowledge
  • Ability to work efficiently with a positive outlook
  • Able to support and communicate the company values

Hours will be 8am until 5pm until fully trained. Once fully trained, shifts will change weekly to 7.30am until 5pm one week and 9.30am until finish (which is normally around 8pm) the following week.
