You will be there to provide emotional and physical support when needed to individuals with enduring mental health issues who live in shared accommodation. This could be emotional support during a crisis, to have a chat over a cup of tea, to help them out of bed or just be a friendly face to give reassurance. You will also ensure the person and property is safe and secure. Support with routines such as dressing, washing, and cooking, whilst promoting independent living. Cleaning and tidying and carrying out checks on safety and risks. Administering medication as required. Ensuring safeguarding responsibilities are met and to protect the persons right to live safely and free from abuse or neglect.
The Person Previous experience is desirable but not essential as full training is provided. Warm, caring nature. Passionate and committed to making a positive difference in people’s lives is essential. Great communication skills. Good sense of humour. Patience and understanding
